How do I use my MP3s in CAN8?
In a previous tutorial, we learned how to take standard audio tracks from a CD and import them into CAN-8 by converting them to WAV files.
We used a program called CDex which you can download from SourceForge.
We will be using the same application to convert MP3s into WAV files so that we may import them into CAN-8.
1. On the CDex toolbar, select the purple MP3>WAV button.
2. A dialog box will open with a number of options on it. Choose the ‘Browse’ button to change the directory you want to look for MP3 files in. Check the ‘Normalize’ box if you want the system to raise the volume in the entire piece to a uniform level (usually 98% of the loudest point).
3. Choose the MP3 you wish to convert to a WAV file, and click the ‘Convert’ button.
4. Now you can import the WAV file into CAN-8 as you would normally.
