SYMPTOMS
The user attempts to access the server through a firewall.
RESOLUTION
The CAN8 VirtuaLab clients communicate with the server via a range of UDP ports.
The port range is 17180-17190
Many cable and DSL routers have an option to allow traffic to be routed directly to a specific workstation on the end user’s side of the connection. A variety of terms are used to describe this functionality depending on the model of the router. Some common configuration terms to look for are NAT, DMZ or “Ip Pass Through”.
